Madina Hotel (Mahim West)

Mallu without Malice

One of the many less conspicuous eateries on LJ Road opposite the Paradise cinema, Madina stands out for its offerings reminiscent of the backwaters of Kerala. The Malayali paranthas with their labyrinthine layers are the perfect accompaniment to the fish curry, which is beautifully whipped up with coconut milk and a slight hint of mustard. Not to mention the fact that all of it is incredibly cheap; and if the lack of sophistication at this restaurant does not bother you, this is where you go for a more or less authentic taste of God’s Own Country.
