Noodle Bar, High Street Phoenix (Lower Parel)

Tossed up beautifully

The Chinese specialty restaurant of Blue Foods is best known for Toss It Up, the customised Wok where one chooses what noodle one wants, along with the accompaniments (vegetarian / non-vegetarian), sauces and garnishing. Choose whatever combination you want - what emerges at the end is invariably palatable. The other notable thing here is the starters package, varying from some delicious dim-sums to corn in butter garlic sauce. One area of improvement for the place is the quality of service. While the stewards are obtrusive in serving the food right on your plate, they often mess up in serving people seated at the corner and the aisle while people in the middle are often stranded with the remains of the tray. If one insists on serving oneself, the food might actually be enjoyed better, for it is right there to be enjoyed.
